Is Pest Control Safe for Kids and Pets?

It’s one of the most common questions we get, and it’s a good one. Our approach is to use the least amount of product it takes to do the job, put it where the pests are, and tell you exactly what to expect.

Before the visit

  • Let us know about kids, pets, fish tanks, gardens or anyone in the home with sensitivities
  • Pick up pet bowls and toys from the areas being treated
  • For indoor treatments, have pets in another room or a crate while the tech works

After the visit

Most of the work happens outside: the foundation, eaves, entry points and the yard spots where pests live. The tech will tell you when it’s fine for kids and pets to be back on treated areas, which is usually once everything is dry. If you have a question about a specific product, just ask. We’ll walk you through it.

Yard treatments

For fire ant, mosquito and flea and tick yard treatments, keep kids and pets off the lawn until it has dried, and the tech will let you know anything specific to your yard.
